Shipped in cardboard box and padded plastic bag. Took some time, but arrived safely. As described in the listing. Quality appears good. Plastic feels cheap, but acceptable at thus price. Speed control has 32 steps, but they are almost all the same. The unit goes into high when a bit of extra pressure is applied. There is no setting for anything in between. In use, feels like just two speeds.
